Time series

Do you wish to use only the time series and not the networks? Then click further down on this page at the tile with the SimBench code “1-complete_data-mixed-all-2-sw” on “csv”. A zip-folder with csv-files will be downloaded, which includes the tables “LoadProfile”, “RESProfile”, “PowerPlantProfile” and “StorageProfile”.

Using SimBench with pandapower

If you want to use SimBench within the pandapower, a open-source tool for power system modeling, analysis and optimization with a high degree of automation, you will find the SimBench dataset already integrated and usable with the function simbench.get_simbench_net() simbench repository on GitHub and PyPI. Tutorials are also available on GitHub and documentation is linked.

Using SimBench with PowerFactory, INTEGRAL and PSS®SINCAL or other Tools

If you want to use SimBench with INTEGRAL: Click on the “integral” button in the list below in order to select the data set of your choice.

If you want to use SimBench with PowerFactory: Also click on the “powerfactory” button in the list below in order to select the data set of your choice. To use the PowerFactory models with the time series data, you can extract them from the csv files. The converter for the PowerFactory models provided in this list is also provided on GitHub.

If you want to use SimBench with PSS®SINCAL: In this case click on the “sincal” button in the list below in order to select the data set of your choice. To use the PSS®SINCAL models with the time series data, you can extract them from the csv files. If you want to use the converter, designed to provide the PSS®SINCAL models in this list, contact us.

If you are using SimBench with other tools, the two freely accessible and documented models are suitable for conversion into csv files or as pandapower nets. Information about the csv model can be found in the documentation, information about the pandapower model here.

How do I find the needed data set, i.e. the needed SimBench code? The SimBench code consists of six components, which are separated by “-”: SimBench version, selected voltage level(s), urbanization character of the highest selected voltage level, subnet number of the lower voltage grid(s) if included, selected future scenario, switch presentation. The SimBench code is described in detail in the SimBench documentation. A SimBench Gui was also provideded by the project to help with the grid selection. Unfortunately, this GUI had to be switched off.
